ONE LOVE, ONE MISSION MOVEMENT: Tru. Entertainment Magazine GIVES BACK!

There are over 49 million homeless persons in this country and growing. Many shelters, churches and providers run out of resources causing people to have to live on the streets of every city across the nation. This is why Tru. Entertainment Magazine has chosen to launch a give-back campaign known as; the "One Love, One Mission Movement”. Established in order to provide homeless persons living on the streets with a cash gift; for a meal, travel to an employment interview, or the means to get shelter. The “One Love, One Mission Movement” is a radical ongoing outreach project which embraces the often very controversial concept of ‘giving to those in need’-as an expression of love, hope and caring for our fellow human beings. Many are homeless, but more importantly ‘people’- just like you and I. “It's really just an organized effort to go throughout your city, identify people out on the streets who are in need, and give them a helping hand. A dollar, a bottle of water and a sandwich, the blessing of a coat, a blanket, maybe just a handful of change can actually CHANGE the life of someone who needs help at the very moment. Lydia King, Chief Editor of Tru. Entertainment Magazine shares with us; “as founding publishers of Tru. Entertainment Magazine we vow to utilize our gifts and resources to reach beyond the world of entertainment by truly dedicating ourselves in order to enact real change in this world. One person, one community, one city, and one state at a time.” Kevin King chimes in; “we’re not pioneering this project in the interest of receiving thanks, recognition or pats on the back. We are dedicated to this outreach because our hearts tell us that; it's the RIGHT thing to do”. Tru. Entertainment Magazine already donates 100% of all net profits from the magazine to the “One Love, One Mission Movement” and the Kings’ are determined to grow the project well beyond their own outreach efforts. Tru. Entertainment Magazine will officially launch the One Love, One Mission Movement this winter 2015, beginning in the city of Minneapolis, their hometown. “Those who are homeless and living on the streets of our city, and eventually in other cities across the nation will be recipients of a cash donation to help them to get through the day or the week. No questions asked, no application or screening needed. These funds will be given out randomly by extending an unexpected helping hand to those in need who we encounter, during our travels”. Tru.’s production crew,‘Tru. Media Group’, will produce outreach videos for promotion on YouTube and via other media sources, as well as for publication on their Magazine website. The goal is to eventually create a web-series about the movement as it works to change the lives of people by granting a gift of love and hope- across the nation. Why the video? The Kings’ say “it’s simple; because together we want to encourage others to join us by going out into their own communities and doing the same. This is the most important work we have and will ever do”. Celebrity Sponsor/Spokesperson for the project, NAACP Image and Grammy Award winning gospel group, the Sounds of Blackness has written a beautiful soundtrack entitled “We are One”; Kevin King proudly states; “it’s our theme song and will also be the backdrop for the videos our team will film documenting the activities of the movement”. Gary Hines, SOB Founder/Director, is set to narrate filming of One Love, One Mission Movement in action. Lydia King further explains; “we are so excited to be working with such a very talented iconic group as the Sounds of Blackness, especially on such an important and potentially world changing project. We recognize that if millions and millions of dollars can be donated annually for research in an effort to stamp out life threatening diseases, then we can surely give of ourselves to help those who are living and struggling to survive life, one day at a time right here in our cities across the nation. This is our mission”. PLEASE DONATE HERE OR EMAIL US FOR AN INFORMATION PACKAGE ON HOW YOU CAN BECOME A MEMBER!
